Billing and upgrades

AI for Docs upgrades happen inside the add-on. Checkout and subscription management are handled by Stripe.

Upgrade to Pro

1. Open a Google Doc.
2. Open AI for Docs from the Extensions menu.
3. In the sidebar, open the Account tab.
4. Click Subscribe and complete payment.

Credits and plan limits

Your plan determines your monthly credit limit. Learn how credits work in Credits and usage limits.

Refresh your plan status

If you subscribed but the plan did not update yet, click Refresh in the Account tab.

Cancel or manage billing

Use the Manage button in the Account tab to open the Stripe customer portal.

If checkout does not open

Stripe checkout opens in a new tab. If pop-ups are blocked, follow Fix payment pop-up issues.
