Troubleshooting

Use this page to fix the most common issues. If you are still stuck, email support@simplemetrics.xyz.

I cannot find AI for Docs in the Extensions menu

1. Confirm you installed the add-on from Marketplace. See Getting started.
2. Refresh the Google Docs tab, or fully close and reopen the document.
3. Make sure you are signed into the same Google account that installed the add-on.
4. Try opening the doc in Chrome if you are using a different browser.

The Run button is disabled or says “Insufficient credits”

• Check Credits remaining and the Next run cost in Writer.
• Turn off expensive options like Deep research or Generate Images, then try again.
• Upgrade from the Account tab, or use 🎁 Get Free Usage in the Extensions menu.

The Subscribe button is stuck on loading

Stripe checkout opens in a new tab. If pop-ups are blocked, it may look stuck. Follow Fix payment pop-up issues.

Custom instructions will not save

Custom instructions are available on the Pro plan. If you are on Free, saving will show an error. See Custom instructions.

I cannot find the generated text

AI for Docs appends output to the end of your document. Scroll to the bottom after a run to find the inserted draft.
